In Hindu philosophy, Mahashakti (also known as Adi Shakti, Parashakti, or simply Shakti) is the primordial, divine energy that manifests the universe. She is the active, dynamic power of Parabrahman (the Supreme Reality).

If Parabrahman is like a silent, infinite ocean of potential, then Mahashakti is like the waves, currents, and storms that bring movement and creation to that ocean. She is the force that turns formless consciousness into creation.
